THEME FOR THE YEAR

Think of your child’s face when you hand them a double scoop in a waffle cone on a warm, summer day. That’s the kind of delight we want to feel in life this year. Sure, there’s a lot of laundry, trips to the grocery store and tedious parenting, but if we can find little ways to summon that kind of joy in regular life, we can make every day an ice cream day.

There’s nothing comfortable about a cactus, right? But it’s longsuffering, resilient, and endures. Sound familiar? You might call it the “mother” of all plants. In fact, cactus are a symbol of protection, warmth and motherly love in the Native American culture. When life feels hard to hold this year, we’ll look to the cacti for inspiration. They thrive in desolate surroundings and produce blossoms in the midst of their prickly hardships.

Remember when you could hold photographs in your hands, moments after you took them? Polaroid pictures at birthday parties, sticker collections at recess, and scrapbooks bursting with scalloped edged memories – those were the days, and we’re going to get back to the simple pleasure of watching moments develop in our hands, and staying present in each day.

About Us
MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers.

We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying along side one another.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it's a little confusing so let's just stick with "MOPS."

We are moms, and we believe that better moms make a better world.

MOMSnext is a group for mothers of school-age kids. We believe Better Moms Make a Better World. This is true during the preschool years and beyond. As mothers enter the school years, new challenges and issues arise, but the need for community and hope remains.
For this reason we offer MOMSnext, a ministry to mothers of school-age kids. A MOMSnext group is an open, accepting place for all mothers of school-age kids to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope.
My nickname is
"Mom,"

and say, "we don't lick the dog."

WhatToExpect
We join together in a table-group setting to discuss life, parenting, marriage, you name it. We listen to relevant speakers, we do fun and easy crafts, and we enjoy dessert and coffee for just a brief moment of peace in our otherwise busy lives. Come meet and share with other moms who are in the same stage of life as you are.
